Ulysses Quartet presents a program introducing students to music from different parts of the world, exploring how rhythm, harmony, style, and extended stringed instrument techniques are used in a variety of musical traditions through a string quartet performance. Listeners will enjoy selections from well known composers as well as rare discoveries as they encounter the rich diversity of music the world has to offer. There will be a Q & A where students will be able to ask questions and reflect on what they learned. Performance is 75 minutes.
This performance is presented free of charge by the Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts as part of Community Arts ACCESS New Brunswick.
